The City Dance Corps Dance-a-Thon Family Jam is a high-energy event that brings our community together through the joy of dance while making a lasting impact.

Participants will dance their hearts out to raise essential funds for scholarships benefiting both The Groove Crew and The Youth Performance Company. These scholarships help ensure that every young dancer has access to performance and training opportunities, regardless of financial circumstances.

What is the Dance-a-Thon & Showcase? The Dance-a-Thon & Showcase is a fun-filled fundraising event featuring dancing, games, and performances by The Groove Crew and the Youth Performance Company. It’s a celebration of movement, creativity, and community—all while raising funds for an important cause.
Where are the funds going? All proceeds from the Dance-a-Thon will go directly to the City Dance Corps Foundation to fund two scholarships—one for The Groove Crew and one for the Youth Performance Company. These scholarships will help ensure that talented young dancers can access performance training, regardless of financial barriers.
What is the City Dance Corps Foundation? The City Dance Corps Foundation’s mission is to empower and uplift marginalized youth and adults by providing them access to high-quality dance education and mentorship programs, while building positive and meaningful engagement with the community at large.
When and where is the event taking place? Date: Sunday, May 4th, 2025 Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Location: City Dance Corps Toronto - 950 Dupont St.
How much does it cost to attend? Admission: $20 for adults, $10 for kids. All proceeds support the City Dance Corps Foundation.
Who can participate in the Dance-a-Thon? Everyone is welcome—dancers, family, friends, and community members! Whether you’re dancing or cheering from the sidelines, your support makes a difference.
Can I support the fundraiser if I’m not attending? Absolutely! You can pledge a participant, donate online, or contribute a prize. Every dollar helps us reach our $5,000 goal.
Will there be performances? Yes! During the event, you’ll see exciting performances by The Groove Crew and the Youth Performance Company.
What dance styles will we be doing? Any and all! Music will be played from a variety of genres, and you’re encouraged to dance in your own unique style—whether it’s hip hop, freestyle, contemporary, or just having fun with your own moves.
Do I have to dance the entire time? Not at all! The Dance-a-Thon is designed to be flexible and fun. There will be open dance rounds, games, rest breaks, and performances. Participants can move at their own pace.
Will there be raffles or snacks? Yes! There will be raffle prizes to win and snacks and drinks available for purchase at the event.
Is this event open to the public? Yes! We welcome all members of the community to attend, support, and celebrate with us.
