acro

Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical technique with acrobatics. Students develop a strong foundation which increases their flexibility and strength while working on musicality and acrobatics such as tumbling, cartwheels, bridges and more

Uniform: All students must wear black leotard and black jazz pants.  Proper jazz shoes are required. Hair must be secured in a ponytail to keep the hair off the face.  All items are available for purchase in our shop.

BAllet

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is an international leading syllabus of classical Ballet. Students work on ballet terminology, history and movement. Classes start at age 4 and dancers have the opportunity to move through graded levels. Examinations will offered to students who wish to progress through the RAD syllabus. Ballet

Uniform: In adherence to international Ballet standards, Girls are required to wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be secured in a bun. Boys are required to wear black tights or shorts, white T-shirt, and black ballet shoes.  All items can be purchased in our shop.

CONTEMPORARY

This versatile dance form focuses on emotional expression and draws itself from modern dance and ballet techniques with a new philosophy on movement. This class is comprised of center and barre work with an emphasis on clean technique and alignment. Music selection spans over various eras and styles.

This class is new to our program this year and has been a popular request by dancers looking to further improve their skills and technique. This class will improve your extensions, range of motion and lines.

Mondays. 4pm - 5pm

Uniform: Form fitting, stretch attire. Yoga mats are optional.

hip hop

Hip Hop dance is a street dance that has evolved along with Hip Hop culture. Choreography is fun, lively and challenging. Hip Hop music is set to a strong, urban beat. This style builds stamina, with an emphasis on body isolations, co-ordination, freestyle movement, rhythm, and confidence.

Uniform: Must wear loose fitting track pants and t-shirt. No jeans or shorts allowed. Long hair must be secured in a ponytail or in a style that keeps the hair off the face. Students must bring indoor running shoes as outdoor shoes are not permitted in the studios. All items are available for purchase in our shop.

Jazz

Jazz dance is a variety of techniques influenced by many dance forms and is one of the most popular and essential styles. This class focuses on progression, coordination, isolation, technique, and performance. It is high in energy and a lot of fun!

BALLET TECHNIQUE

Ballet Technique is a class to supplement training for other dance styles. If students are enrolled in Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet or Hip Hop and require additional technical training, this class is an add-on. There is no recital performance for this class.

tap

Tap dance is a rhythmic style of dance combined with Jazz technique. The tap shoes are used as percussive instruments to create sounds while hitting the floor. The class emphasis is on musicality, rhythm, coordination, style and technique.

Thursdays. 5pm - 6pm

September 12, 2019 - June 20, 2020

Uniform: All students must wear black leotard and black jazz pants.  Proper tap shoes are required. Hair must be secured in a ponytail to keep the hair off the face. All items are available for purchase in our shop except for Tap shoes.
