Details: Dancers will learn a short contemporary routine then be asked to perform a solo in their preferred style of dance.
Toronto’s first company training program for aspiring dance professionals. This is a year long program designed to train, mentor and expose serious dancers to the professional dance industry.
The objective of the company is to provide strong technical training in a number of related and mutually supportive dance disciplines. Dancers will develop their artistic abilities through an individually-tailored curriculum which emphasizes personal growth under the guidance of industry professionals. Dancers attain knowledge in accordance with current industry standards relating to, professionalism, performance skills, casting requirements, audition training and etiquette.
Dancers train in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, House, Salsa, Bollywood, Modern, Musical Theatre, Conditioning, and more. Technique classes are designed specifically to nourish each dancer’s skills and abilities. Performance skills are honed through workshops and performances. Enrollment to the company is granted through audition.

Access to workshops
The dance company meets every Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. The afternoon begins with a Floor Barre class designed to warm up, strengthen and improve overall endurance, technique and flexibility. The class is then followed by a specialized choreography class with a professional choreographer. The choreography ranges in various styles of dance that eventually become part of the company's performance repertoire. Dancers have access to seminars such as Professionalism and Industry Standards, Casting, Injury Prevention, Nutrition, Improv and Make Up Application. Head shots and costumes are also included. The program strives to vary it's faculty and educational seminars so that dancers are exposed to industry professionals while developing a well rounded foundation.
