GENERAL GUIDELINES


CLASS CONDUCT

  • Upon entering the studio, a positive and professional attitude is expected from all students and parents. 
  • Consistency is key! Students are expected to be in class every week.
  • Students must arrive 10 minutes early to class and be picked up within 15 minutes after the class. 
  • Parents are required to contact the studio should their child be absent from class. 
  • All students must abide by the dress code. 
  • Profanity, unsportsmanlike conduct, or gossip about fellow students will not be tolerated. 
  • Cell phones are not permitted to be on while class is in progress. 
  • While class is in session, parents are not allowed to open the dance room doors and must refrain from crowding the viewing windows as it is very disruptive to the dancers. 
  • Food or drink is not permitted in the studios.  No gum.  Only water is permitted into the studios. 
  • We have change rooms that provide an area for students to change for class. Changing in the front desk area is not acceptable. 
  • Change rooms are not intended as a play area. Please bring activities (books, puzzles, games etc) to occupy your waiting time. 
  • Students should use the cubbies for all dance bags and gear. 
  • Please do not leave shoes or clothes on change room floor since this is a hazard to other dancers. 
  • Outdoor shoes are to be left at the entrance. Other items that are too big for hooks are to be tucked under the benches. 
  • Parents and students are not allowed to stand behind the reception desk. 
  • Parents, please remind students to clean up after themselves, keep the change room areas clean, and respect studio property. 
  • Parents and students are asked to keep the volume down in common areas. 


LOST & FOUND

City Dance Corps is not responsible for any lost personal items, including but not limited to: jewelry, personal devices, clothing, shoes, school books, etc. Please take care of your personal items and help us return lost items to you by labelling important items that comes into the studio. Please note that we clear out the lost and found on a monthly basis.


PERSONAL INFORMATION

It is extremely important that you keep us updated with your current contact information. Updated information is crucial in case of an emergency. It also helps us keep you updated on changes and other information about the studio.


CLASS TRANSFERS

Class changes are subject to the approval of our Program Coordinator. If you wish to transfer or change classes please contact the program coordinator immediately. We will try our very best to accommodate you. Transfer requests must be made in writing, and will not be accepted after October 31, 2017. City Dance Corps reserves the right to deny transfers if they feel the quality of the class and the student's progression will be compromised.  If your child is placed in a dance class by the teacher, it is because the teacher believes it is the best option for your child’s dance education, transfers will not be permitted in this case. 


COSTUME FEES

Each student must pay a costume fee of $115.00 +hst for each class they are enrolled in. Costume fee is NON refundable after December 1, 2017. 

LATE FEES

•Tuition is due on time even if your child did not attend class during the payment week. •Parents will be charged tuition on the due dates by our secure, automatic payment system. •Late payments will incur an automatic late interest of $1.00 per day per class. •Students will not be able to participate in any City Dance Corps activity, performance, or class if the account is past due. •Keep up to date with the City Dance Corps calendar of important dates and events to avoid late payment fees. 

DISCONTINUATION AND WITHDRAWALS

Our program runs from September to June. It is expected that dancers entering the program will commit to the entire year, and participate in the Year-End Recital in 2018. In the event that a dancer is unable to fulfill the year-long commitment, withdrawals MUST be made in writing and sent to the program coordinator (jennalee@citydancecorps.com).  Parent and Tot does not participate in the Year-End Recital. Registration fee of $25.00 is NON refundable.

Annual and Term Payment Plans

Refund requests must be made in writing before October 1, 2017. 75% of the class fees will be refunded minus a $25 administrative fee. Classes already taken will not be refunded. 

Quarterly Payment Plans

There will be NO refund granted under this payment plan and all withdrawals must be submitted in writing. All withdrawals due to injury must have a doctor's note submitted to the program coordinator.  The Quarterly and Term  payment options are not enrollment options. They are payment plans to offer parents some flexibility with fee payments.  The enrollment period at City Dance Corps is an annual enrollment from September 9, 2017 to June 10, 2018.
